stream to choose after 10th in india

How to decide which stream to choose after 10th.

# Find Your Interest.

Let me ask. Do you have a favorite subject? If Yes then Great,

If not, then please try to recognize your favorite subjects in recent past times. Think about the topics and subjects you have an interest in. The topics and subjects which make you feel happier. The subjects which make you more curious to learn and explore The topic when you even heard about that subject you feel happy and want to read.

The subjects on which you spend less time and learn more.

I remember when I was in the 10th Standard, I used to like Physics and Biology. I used to love reading Biology. I used to feel curious about topics of biology. I usually spend more time reading and exploring the biology subject.

You must think about the subjects you feel good while reading or love reading more and more.  Find your interest and move forward to judging your aptitude skills, Strength, and Weakness.

#Judge Your Aptitude.

Your strength and capability are equally important aline to your interest. So figure out what you are good at,

What subject you feel comfortable reading and understanding. Are those the same subjects you are interested in. Is your interest and strength match.

If yes, then great, Because If you have little interest in a particular subject and stream, but you find that subject tough, then you have to face tuff (hard) time to crack and pass. overall, you have to pass and get the degree to move forward.

The interest should be evaluated with the skills necessary to pursue them in the long term.

Participate in the aptitude test and come to know your hidden talent and skills.

# Seek Guidance from Teachers, Parents, and Career Counsellor.

Guidance and counseling have a huge role in a student’s life,

Take Guidance to get more clarity about your interest and strength. You can take guidance from Teachers, Parents, Professionals, and Consultants.

# Consult with your teachers.

A teacher can guide you and show you the right path. Because they know all your academic details, and they have been teaching you for some while now, by now, they must be well aware of your Interest, Strength, and weakness. Be honest with them and ask what they think you are good at. So take some time to seek guidance from your teachers.

Ones they detailed your interest, strength, and weakness, based on their past experience in recent time with you and your result.

For example: If they say you are good at Math or you’re are good at calculation. You generally get 60+ out of 100. Somewhere this shows you are good at math.

Now think you do like math. Do you want to pursue maths in the future? If yes, then continue, Math generally used in the Science stream and Commerce stream.

Till now you may get little idea that you may go for Commerce with math and Science with match(PCM)

But this is not the only factor because a student may be good at math but not in other subjects, like physic and chemistry.

If a student wants to do Engineering, then he should have good and interested in all the main three subjects, Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.

# Discuss with your parents

Discuss your thought, interests, Strength with your parents because parents have a vital role in building a bright career for their children.
Ask them to explore the right stream and career option for you. As parents are very loyal and honest with you, they always want you to see you happy and successful.
Don’t judge their knowledge; see their intention.

# Take the help of a Good Career counselor.

It’s the fact that nowadays there are so many subjects, streams and career options available.
Professional guidance became a need.

A good career counselor observes the interest, skills, weakness, strength,
and helps a student to find the best and suitable stream for him/her. So professional guidance became a need, So take advantage of the Internet by connecting with Good Career Counsellor.

# What is your Goal(Aim) In life?

I think you already have some goals, have not you?

You may wonder to be Engineer, Chef, Teacher, Lawyer, Researcher, Finance professionals, etc.

Whatever you have decided considering your interest and strength. For the time being, continue with and work on it. Be honest with yourself, and do hard and smart work to achieve your goal.

But If you haven’t decided your goal, then please keep thinking if possible, connect with the teacher, parents, Career counselor, and professionals to get the answer to what you want to be.

When you are sure about your goal, move forward, and think about the necessary qualifications, you will need to achieve your goal. It is like planning a road map.

# Do Some Research Properly.

Now the main task is to do some research,
Be clear about your interest and strength. Have some goals.

Next, look at the available streams and then introspect yourself concerning each field. Find out every detail about the stream and their subjects, the overall difficulty level, higher educational courses, and career opportunities they provide.
Also, list down all the professional courses, duration, and overall investment(fee) on those courses that one may pursue after passing class 12.  Making a list of professional courses will help you get an idea about career prospects associated with that stream.

Take help the Internet to finding and doing in-depth research, Connect with the teacher, and ask them to finger out.
Talk with seniors, check their books and ask for advice. Discuss with parents. And move on.

Conclusion

This is the fact at this age, most of the students get influenced by their friends and family and end up taking a stream, which doesn’t even match their interests or skill set.

Don’t simply follow the crowd; think wisely about the factors that will motivate and inspire you throughout the course. Make sure to choose a stream that matches your own interest, potential, and ability.

I understand deciding the best and suitable stream for you at this early age at your own is not an easy task, that’s why I strongly recommend you to take the help of a good career counselor, teachers, and seniors.

I request to the fathers and guardians by folding my hand that please guide your children. I know you want them to be successful.
